Winter Survival In The Backcountry

Competitor Magazine has put together a good article about surviving winter excursions into the backcountry. Some of it comes across as basic, common sense stuff, but it’s a good reminder none the less, and it’s a perfect starting point for someone thinking of playing in the snow for the first time. You’ll find tips on dressing appropriately, what gear to bring along, digging a snow cave, and more.

Thanks Two Heel Drive!.

  1. Reminders can indeed do wonders. It’s important that we don’t forget the basics, even if we’ve been out there in those elements a hundred times.

Nice post. I’ll make a link to it when I get a chance!
