The Trailcraft Blog is quickly becoming a great resource for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds, but especially for hikers and backpackers. I’ve recently posted some of their blog entires on lightweight backpacking and ways to shave some weight from your pack.
Today they have another great entry with backpacking tips for beginners. Specifically “less intuitive” tips that you wouldn’t normally think about as a first time backpacker. Such suggestions as Pack your own backpack or Go Easy On The Nalgene Bottles. Each one is accompanied by a nice explanation, and are great places to get started.
