It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for a new episode of The Rest of Everest. This weeks video podcast is Episode 37: Base Camp Broadcast. Show producer and regular host is joined by another Everest climber Rupert Elderkin (sp?) from the Netherlands. Jon and Rupert discuss the efforts of the Chinese to make live broadcasts for Chinese television from the Everest Basecamp on the North Side, with the thought of possibly broadcasting from the summit when their team makes their bid. It’s an interesting behind the scenes look at the production that went out to nearly 1 billion people!
And just a reminder, in case you missed it earliner in the week, Bonus Episode #1 available for your viewing pleasure. It follows the adventures of Rest of Everest regular Ben Clark and his climbing partner Josh Butson as they head to China to bag a few peaks. Good stuff, and different than what you’re seein gon the regular Everest episodes. I highly recommend it.
Both episodes are available from the website or through iTunes.
