The Yukon Arctic Ultra-Marathon kicked off yesterday and promises to be a long, challenging, and cold event. Billed as the “The world’s coldest and toughest ultra”, competitors can choose to run, bike, or ski across three different courses of lengths of 100, 300, or 460 miles starting in Whitehorse, Canada.
You can find more information at the website including trail maps, current roster of racers, and past race reports.
I’ll post updates and results as the come in over the course of the race, which is scheduled to last until the 24th of February.
