I’m sure many of you are already aware of the Jeep World of Adventure Sports television program that airs every few months on NBC on Saturday afternoons. But I wanted to give you a quick heads up about tomorrows episode which may be of particular interest.
A few months back I posted an article about ice climbers Will Gadd and Andreas Spak who traveled to Sweden to go climbing in old, abandoned mines. At the time, it sounded like quite an interesting place for a climb, and both men remarked about eerie it was to be so far underground, with darkness all around them, putting up new ice routes. Well, on tomorrow’s edition of the show, which is broadcast at 2 PM Eastern Time, in HD no less, they will show excerpt from the climb, which should prove to be quite entertaining.
Other “adventure sports” on the docket for tomorrow include Kimberly Kelly going for a world speed record on the salt flats of Bonneville, Utah, BMX star Kenan Harkin mountain biking in Whistler, BC, and backcountry skiing in the Southern Alaska Range. so, three of the four segments sound great to me.
