The Outdoorzy Blog has thrown their hat into the “Top Ten List” ring with a nice creative list of their own. It’s the Outdoorzy 10 Best Trailhead Eateries and it’s broken into two parts, with numbers 6-10 here and 1-5 here.
The list was compiled from suggestions by Outdoorzy members and some of the places on the list are legendary in their areas as great places to refuel after a long day on the trail. Places like The Pizza Factory in Lone Pine, California, which is where Mt. Whitney climbers chow down at the end of the day. Or the Bruce Spruce Inn which is a popular joint near the ski resorts in Colorado.
There is nothing like burning a ton of calories on a hike, climb, or ride, making it through the day with trail food, then hitting the local greasy spoon with your buddies. We all have our favorite post trail climbs, so if you have some suggestions to add to the list, be sure to drop by the Outdoorsy Blog and post your own additions. As for me, I need to go make dinner!

Dude… I got so hungry writing that piece. I was dying for a Calamity Jane’s burger!
I have no doubt about that!
We should take an Outdoorzy Road Trip and visit all those great places. You know… for “research” purposes! 😉
