Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on another cool outdoor related website. Checkout HardCoreOutdoor.com for some good reviews, news, and information about the outdoors and outdoor gear. Regular readers of the site know that I love my gear, so I was happy to find another site offering up comprehensive reviews on new stuff.
The site is run by Wade Nelson, who I had the distinct pleasure of meeting while I was on in Montana. Wade decided to drive up from Arizona to check out the whole adventure racing scene and see what Primal Quest was all about.
He had the chance to meet some of the athletes, visit checkpoints and transition areas, and hang out with the staff and volunteers for a few days. He also happens to be a SPOT ambassador so he was more than familiar with the tracking devices we were using.
And the end of his stay, I think it was safe to say that he was more than impressed with what was going on, and he and I had some interesting discussions regarding the racer’s gear, and specifically the footwear they chose to race in.
