The inaugural Terra Traverse Adventure Race, originally scheduled for October 4th through the 10th of this year, in Northern Quebec, Canada, has been postponed until βSummer 2009β. More detailed announcements are expected in the near future.
The race was set to make a splash on the adventure racing community. With a course designed by AR legend Ian Adamson, and a stunning location in the wilds of Canada, the expedition length race had generated some good buzz. Terra Traverse adopted the stage race format, with over 600 km of trekking, mountain biking, paddling, and more.
Hopefully this is just a logistical issue and nothing too serious. The race has a good crew behind it, and shows a lot of promise. Perhaps the delay will afford them some time to get all the kinks worked out and get things on track for a great event next year.
