Fans of the show Man vs. Wild may be interested to know that the show’s star, Bear Grylls, was injured in Antarctica earlier today. According to this story over at the Baltimore Sun , Bear slipped and fell during a climb, and injured his shoulder.
He’s now en route back to the U.K. where the injury will be further evaluated and treated. Since they elected to send him home rather than treat him locally, it’s clear this was not a life threatening injury at all. Hopefully Bear won’t be sidelined for too long, and will be on the road to recovery soon.
According to the article, Bear was on an independent expedition and wasn’t filming for Discovery Channel at the time.
