Way back in November I mentioned that Primal Quest and the state of South Dakota were searching for endurance athletes to make up Team South Dakota at Primal Quest Badlands, taking place this August in and around the Black Hills. I’m happy to announce that that team has been found, with a press release coming out yesterday to introduce to them to the world.
Paulette Kirby, Lisa Gustin, Gary Haven, all of Rapid City and Dan Jensen of Sioux Falls, will be joining forces to tackle the 600 mile lone Primal Quest course that will have them running, paddling, navigating, mountain biking, caving, and climbing their way through, over, and under the Badlands later this year. The foursome are already adventure athletes and friends, which is important for team chemistry, with a good deal of experience, and they have set a goal of becoming the first “home team” to cross the finish line at Primal Quest.
I just want to send a word of welcome to the entire team and I hope to get the opportunity to meet everyone at the race!! Good luck and get training! 😉
