A few weeks back Solvenian climber Urban Novak, along with partners Hayden Kennedy and Kyle Dempster, completed a successful climb up K7 along a new route of the East Face. The 6934 meter (22,749 ft) peak presented them with quite a challenge as their ascent took them over plenty of snow, ice and rock on the way to the summit. During their 21 hour summit push they were forced to deal with rapidly changing weather conditions following a long night at altitude in a tent without sleeping bags.
Recently Novak sat down with the team at EpicTV and shared his thoughts on the climb, the challenges they had to overcome to reach the top and a whole lot more. This is just the most recent in a series of great interviews that the gan at EpicTV have been turning out lately and if you havenβt bookmarked their site yet, you should definitely do so. Great stuff all around.
