As an NFL football player, Hines Ward was one of the best wide receivers in the league, helping the Pittsburgh Steelers to two Super Bowl wins and earning himself a SB MVP in 2006. Last year, he announced his retirement from professional football and apparently now he has found a new way to channel is athletic talents β training for the 2013 Ironman Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
The video below is a teaser for an upcoming web series that will follow Ward and three other athletes as he goes from an IM rookie all the way to the race in Kona itself. That journey begins here as the talented Ward goes from an NFL standout to an endurance athlete.
