I’ve been fortunate enough to have all kinds of amazing wildlife encounters in my travels, but I haven’t yet gotten the opportunity to go whale spotting. I hope to change that in the future and videos like this one only help to make that more of a priority. It was shot with a GoPro camera (of course!) and while it is short, it captures some amazing underwater images of a pod humpback whales. Simply beautiful.

I saw a whale a few days ago, a sperm whale! Just beautiful! If you ever do get a chance to get to New Zealand go to Kaikoura, they always have whales, if you go on a whale watching tour and don't see a whale you get a full refund. Epic right?
How awesome would that be? I think I gotta add that to the list. I love the oceans. Once, as a kid, while boogie boarding a pod of dolphins came and played with us. That was pretty cool. They didn't stick around long.
Love your blog. Awesome video. If you want to see whales, come to Newfoundland in July 🙂

Lol, sweet!!! The GoPro HD is the best camera for outdoor film, do you agree? I also like the use of angles the cameraman has chosen. iLike
