Located in the state of Washington, a few hours drive from Seattle, the North Cascades National Park offers some of the most remote and spectacular wilderness in the lower 48 states. It also happens to be home to more than 700 glaciers, which as we all know are the harbingers of climate change on our planet.
The video below was released by the National Park Service and it gives us an idea of how researchers monitor the health of the parkβs glaciers to determine the impact of climate change on the region. It is actually a fascinating short film with some great scenery to enjoy along the way.
