Back in February the Earth was subjected to some of the best displays of the Aurora Borealis, aka the Northern Lights, that have been seen in decades. Extreme northern locals across the globe were treated to a spectacular light show, including parts of Scotland. The video below was shot on February 27, just a few days after one of the biggest solar flares ever detected. For those of us who didn’t get a chance to see this amazing natural display for ourselves, the clip gives a sense of what it was like, in a beautiful timelapse no less.
