Weβre just a few weeks away from the start of the 2014 Antarctic expedition season, and I canβt think of a better way to get in the spirit than watching this video. It is a 54-minute long documentary about life at Union Glacier, where a team of research scientists work year round.
This is not a story about a grand adventure skiing to the South Pole. It is, instead, a story about what it is like to live and work in Antarctica, where the grand adventure is the place that surrounds you. As someone who hopes to visit Antarctica someday, I found it very interesting. I hope you do too.
