This past spring, mountain runner Kilian Jornet traveled to the Himalaya, where he had hoped to attempt a new speed record on Everest. But, as we all know, those efforts were cut short when a massive earthquake hit Nepal, devastating the countryside and leaving parts of that nation completely in ruins. In this video, we get a sneak preview of Kilian’s latest film – entitled Langtang – which takes along with him as he explores the Langtang Valley following this natural disaster.
The footage we see, even in this brief clip, is incredibly sobering, and a reminder of how powerful this earthquake was, and why Nepal continues to struggle with rebuilding. The full Langtang film will be available on December 12, and promises to be quite a powerful experience.
