You’ll have to wait until next week to read my 2016 holiday gift guides, but if you’re planning on getting a jump on your shopping, Outside magazine is here to help. The editors and contributors to the site have posted their selections for the best gifts for the outdoor adventure in your life, and there are plenty of amazing items to choose from.

The 2016 Outside Holiday Gift Guide is broken down into six sections, Style, Adventure, Travel, Fitness, Food, and Tech. Each of those segments is crammed full of great suggestions for the best possible items for that particular category, with a slant towards products that are best used on our outdoor adventures.

For instance, under the “Adventure” category you’ll find subcategories that include items for skiers, snowboarders, paddlers, and other adrenaline junkies. You’ll also find another suggestions for cold weather gear such as puffy jackets and down sleeping bags, as well as a collection of product selected for the urban explorer. Likewise, the “Travel” section offers gifts for the modern day nomad and some of the best duffles around, while the “Tech” category is filled with great gadgets that just about everyone will appreciate.

There are literally dozens of gift ideas presented here, so its a pretty safe bet that if you have an intrepid adventurer, outdoor enthusiast, or gear junkie in your life, you’ll be able to find something that fits their needs on these lists. If not, they really are the hardest person in the world to buy for, in which case I’d recommend gift certificates!

I’ll have some advice to share on items that I recommend for holiday gifts next week as well, with some more narrowly focused suggestions for readers of this blog. But, if you’re looking for a wide variety of things to choose from, it’s tough to beat the Outside guide.
