While he was climbing El Cap sans ropes this past weekend, Alex Honnold was also being filmed for an upcoming documentary about his efforts. While that video is probably still a ways off from being released, National Geographic did release the first footage from the climb a short time ago. Below, you’ll get a glimpse of what it was like for Alex on the wall with a dizzying look at far above the ground he truly was, all without any kind of safety device. Simply amazing.
