As the weather begins to clear in the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan, teams there are preparing to launch summit bids over the next few days. If you’re interested what that climb will be like for those mountaineers, this video will give you a sense of the route they’ll take and the challenges they’ll face on the way to the 8051 meter (26,414 ft) summit. For many of these climbers, this will serve as a warm-up for K2, a much tougher challenge to come. For now though, they are focused on the climb ahead.
