The Atacama Desert in northern Chile is the driest place on the planet, and one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited. Because it lacks any water vapor in the air, and light pollution is practically nonexistent, it is also well known for having some of the most amazing night skies found anywhere on Earth. This video takes us to this amazing place to give viewers a glimpse of what it is like there. As you’ll see, the skies are simply exceptional and worth visiting the Atacama for alone. But the place has much more to offer as well, making it for my money one of the true hidden gems of adventure travel.
