As everyone probably knows by now, a massive hurricane called Harvey smashed into the gulf coast of Texas earlier int he week, bringing torrential rain, high winds, and terrible flooding along with it. Water levels in parts of the state are at biblical levels, with months of recovery work ahead.

This unprecedented disaster has prompted Austin-based Yeti to take action to lend a hand to fellow Texans. The premium cooler manufacturer has announced that it will donate 100% of the sales that are generated on Yeti.com and in its flagship store in Austin on Friday, September 1, to relief efforts. All orders placed between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM on that date will go directly to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund.

If you’ve been considering purchasing a Yeti product, now may be the perfect time to do just that while also lending a hand with those impacted by the hurricane. Not only are the company’s coolers highly efficient and nearly indestructible, but its new waterproof duffel bags (review coming soon) are simply superb. I happen to be a huge fan of their drinkware too, so now might be a perfect time to add a few of those items to your collection as well. The point is, you’re not only getting some great products for use in the outdoors, but you’ll also be helping out the people of Texas too.

To all my friends in Texas, stay strong. Our thoughts are with you at the moment.
