There are still two months to go before the end of 2017, but it is never too early to start making travel plans for next year. To help us along with that process, Lonely Planet has revealed its picks for the very best travel destinations of 2018, with plenty of great options no matter what type of travel you favor.
The list includes Lonely Planet’s choices for the top 10 countries, cities, and regions, as well as its best value destinations. The site used to promote the various lists is slick, beautiful, and easy to navigate, while offering enticing descriptions, paired with photos and videos too. There are even links to more LP content that go further in depth on each of the places, providing pretty much everything a traveler needs to know before setting out.
Of course, half the fun of these lists is discovering them for yourself, so I won’t spoil too many of the places that earn a nod. But some of the more adventurous destinations to hit Lonely Planet’s “best of 2018” site include New Zealand, Chile, and Dhibouti. Top cities include Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Oslo, Norway, while Alaska and Bahia, Brazil earn spots amongst the best regions. Frugal travelers will find Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and the state of Arizona on the “best value” list as well.
If you’re looking for a bit of a distraction from your daily routine today, and have found yourself dreaming of your next getaway, then Lonely Planet has you covered. You can definitely kill a couple of hours combing through everything they have to offer here. Check out the best in travel for 2018 by clicking here.
