Domestic travelers and visitors coming to the U.S. that are looking for some suggestions on where to go this year, may want to have a look at the latest list from Lonely Planet. The travel guide company has announced its picks for the 10 best places to visit in the U.S. for 2018, with some wonderful choices for just about every type of explorer.
Each entry on the list includes the name of the destination, a nice accompanying photo, and a couple of paragraphs to explain why that place deserves to be in the top 10. The destinations that made the cut offer a pretty nice cross-section of places to go and things to see, ranging from coast-to-coast, with some good stops in-between.
As usual, I’ll leave it up to you to find out which destinations made their way onto Lonely Planet’s countdown. But, I can say that Super Bowl-host city Minneapolis is there, as is the Midcoast of Maine. Also, Chattanooga, Tennessee – which is just down the road from where I live – also earns a much-deserved mention as well.
To find out which other places joined these three destinations, you’ll just have the read the rest of the list for yourself.

Would love to catch up again somewhere Kristen! Hope all is well! 🙂
Life is good! Where are you hoping to travel in 2018?
I'm currently in Baja (love Mexico!), then heading to England, Romania, Serbia this Spring. Then, hopefully Italy and Ireland in the Fall. Looks to be mostly European for me this year. What about you?
Heading above the Arctic Circle in Norway, Finland, and Sweden in a few weeks. Hope to travel to Malawi and Zimbabwe in June and September respectively, with a few domestic trips – and probably some unforeseen journeys – that still have to be scheduled. It always ends up being a busy and interesting year. 🙂
Without adventure life is nothing exciting so, that's the main reason you post a great blog about adventure or destination. People surely love it and your information about blog marvelous. Thanks for the great post.
