Climbers Nate Murphy and Eli Nogueira went to Yosemite to attempt to free climb of a route called “The Shaft” (8a+/5.13c). The knew that this would be a difficult and demanding climb before they ever touched the rock, but as you’ll see in the video below, they got even more than they had bargained for. As usual, climbing in the Valley is no picnic, the the rewards are well worth it.
