In this video, we join Brazilian ultrarunner Fernanda Maciel as she attempts to set a “fastest known time” on Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. We’ll see her have a go at setting the speed record on one of the most iconic mountains in the world, completing her journey from base to summit in just 10 hours and 6 minutes, a blistering pace on a trail that typically takes 5-6 days to complete at a minimum.
