I’m on the road again over the next few days while visiting family and taking care of some business. Hopefully things will get back to normal around here next week. In the interim, we have a new episode of The Adventure Podcast that will be of particular interest with the gear nerds out there.
Last week, the Outdoor Retailer gear convention took place in Denver, Colorado. My co-host Dave Adlard and I were on hand to check out the latest and greatest new products from the some of the biggest companies in the outdoor industry. Over the course of four days, we saw countless boots, backpacks, tents, and other items, some of which were groundbreaking and revolutionary, while others lefts us feeling unimpressed. That said however, we were able to compile a list of our favorite pieces of gear that we saw at the show, and on this week’s episode we offer a sneak peek at those items. Of course, we also start off by catching up with adventure news too, as there was a lot to talk about, including the Tour de France, the end of the Karakoram climbing season, and the first ski descent of K2.
