The Adventure Podcast Episode 32: A Visit with Amy Hatch of Garage Grown Gear

On this week’s episode of The Adventure Podcast we sit down with Amy Hatch –– founder and CMO of Garage Grown Gear to hear her story and how she came up with the idea of launching a website to work with entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry. Amy and her team works with more than 60 brands to help give outdoor startups and gear inventors an opportunity to have their voice heard and get their products in front of a growing audience. She tells us how she came up with the idea, how it has grown since its inception, and some of her favorite products that have emerged through the project.

Before we chat with Amy however, my co-host Dave Adlard and I talk adventure news, touching on topics like the recent insurance fraud scandal in Nepal, an adaptive athlete making history at the Leadville Trail 100, and how a drone helped researchers find a lost tribe in the Amazon. As usual, we also share some of our favorite gear we’re currently using, and even answer a listener’s question on which shoes to buy for a variety of uses.
