A couple of days back I shared videos of a bikepacking journey across South America. (Part 1 and Part 2) But for a completely different way to bike across that continent, check out the video below for the Bikingman Inca Divide race. This competition challenges cyclists to ride across Peru in a completely self-supported fashion, covering more than 1800 km (1118 miles) and facing 31,000 meters (101,706 ft) of vertical gain. The entire thing takes 12 days to complete. This clip serves as a trailer for a longer video yet to come, but it gives you some idea of what to expect.
