When I was in the Southern Ocean last year, I witnessed a penguin colony with more than 400,000 birds. It was one of the most amazing sites i have ever seen. In this video, National Geographic takes us to another such site, this time located at South Georgiaβs St. Andrews Bay. The clip below will give you a sense of the sights and sounds (but not the smells!) that come along with such a massive penguin population. It is something that has to be seen to be believed, but it is truly an amazing experience.
