It seems like it hasn’t been all that long since the outdoor industry converged in Denver for the Outdoor Retailer convention, but it is already time to do it all over again. Tomorrow, I’ll head to Colorado to spend the rest of the week meeting with as many major brands as I can get in order to see what new products they have in the pipeline. Most of the stuff that will be on display won’t be available for us to buy until next fall and winter, but it is an indication of the trends we can expect in the months and years ahead. It is also a great opportunity for me to catch up with long-time friends and connect with some truly interesting and inspiring folks as well.
That means for the rest of the week there will be limited or no updates. If a major story breaks or I see some really interesting gear, I may find some time to share it, but for the most part I’ll be off the grid for a few days. That means I should have some good stories and things to share when I get back however, so stay tuned.
I’m also extending my stay in Denver through the weekend for a little RnR in the city. My wife and I will be staying in the downtown area, so if anyone has suggestions on good places to eat or grab a drink, or fun things to do in the area, drop me a note with some tips. Usually when I’m in Denver it’s all about the convention, with little time for anything else. Let us know what we should be experiencing while there.
