Now that the shutdown of the U.S. government is over –– at least temporarily –– the national parks are starting to officially reopen to visitors too. Amongst them is The Great Smoky Mountains, which is by far the most visited park in the entire country. The video above was shot by one of the rangers who was furloughed during the shutdown, and hopefully he’s headed back to work now. But clearly he knows his way around the Smokys, because the clip offers a great look at one of the top outdoor destinations in the eastern half of the U.S.
