I’ve said for a very long time that Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is one of the best wilderness areas in the entire U.S. It often gets overlooked when compared to the mountainous west, but the U.P. –– as it’s known to the locals –– can hold its own in terms of beauty and remoteness. This video, which was made by Merrell, hammers that point home with some amazing shots of the landscapes and adventures that can be found there. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit the Upper Peninsula on several occasions and I look forward to going back in the future. The clip above will make it abundantly obvious why.
