Outside Recommends 33 Amazing Trips for 2019

If you’re still making your travel plans for 2019, what are you waiting for? It’s March already! If you’ve been having a hard time deciding where you should go this year, then perhaps Outside magazine can help. The iconic adventure mag has posted its picks for the best places to visit in the year ahead, with some stellar destinations both internationally and domestically.

Outside’s best trips of 2019 list includes 33 destinations around the globe. That breaks down to 15 foreign locations to add to your bucket list, along with 16 U.S. states, with some outstanding adventures to do in each place. If your math skills tell you that 15 + 16 doesn’t add up to 33, you’d of course be right. But that’s because Outside doubled down on some of the destinations, offering more than one option for adventure. For example, Alaska alone gets four different suggestions for what to do while visiting. The largest state in the Union is also its greatest destination for adventure and that’s reflected nicely here with recommendations on where to go rafting, camping, and photographing the wildlife.

Other great international places that made the cut include Colombia, which is quickly becoming the go-to destination in South America, and Portugal, a perennial favorite amongst surfers in particularly. At home in the U.S., options include skiing in New Mexico, hiking and backpacking in Texas, and Massachusetts for some surprising fun in the Berkshires.

You’ll find plenty of other great options on the list as well, but I don’t want to spoil them all for you. Discover all of the travel inspiration you could ask for by clicking here.
