We often put a lot of thought and effort into which sleeping bag we take with us on a camping or backpacking trip, but have less consideration for the sleeping pads we use. As it turns out, a good sleeping pad is just as essential to getting a good night sleep as our bag, which is why choosing the right one is so important. In this video, our friends from REI share some tips on picking the right sleeping pad for not only comfort but warmth. That’s one aspect of a pad that is often overlooked, but is certainly something to consider when choosing your gear.
