When long-distance runner Ricky Gates decided to run every street in San Francisco he didn’t know what he was getting himself into. This very personal project started as a way for him to get to know the community better, but ended up turning into an 1100-mile (1770 km) odyssey to explore a single city on foot. Along the way he found some very unexpected surprises, including amazing people and places that he didn’t even know were there.
Kraig is an outdoor and adventure travel writer based in Nashville, TN.
