The Adventure Podcast Episode 59: Simple Tips to Put More Adventure into Your Life

It’s Wednesday, which means its time for another episode of The Adventure Podcast. This week, my co-host Dave Adlard and I discuss a very important topic –– how to put more adventure into your lives. We know that we all have busy lives filled with jobs, family, friends, and a host of other commitments. But most of us are looking for ways to be more active, get outdoors, and find inspiration to take on the adventures that we’ve been dreaming of for a long time. Sometimes, that starts with doing things close to home and finding opportunities for inspiration through local meet-ups, film festivals, guest lectures, and more. On this week’s show, we explore some of those options and suggest a few others.

Of course, as usual we start the show with adventure news sharing the latest updates from the spring climbing season in the Himalaya, while also discussing a brewing war of words between the two teams that were on K2 this past winter. We also take a look at a couple’s plans to spend three years hiking the Great Trail in Canada and share the heartwarming story of the dog that ran the Marathon des Sables. Finally, we wrap the show up with our weekly gear picks, with Dave sharing his thoughts on some Black Diamond trekking poles, while I review a portable tire pump for cyclists from Crank Brothers.

Any thoughts, questions, or feedback can be directed our way your via our Facebook page, Twitter, or email as well. As always, thanks so much for giving us a listen. I hope you like what you hear.
