This past week the mountaineering community was stunned to learn of the deaths of David Lama, Hansjörg Auer, and Jess Roskelly. The three climbers –– some of the best of their generation –– were killed in an avalanche on Howse Peak in Canada. Their loss will be felt for a long time to come, as they were amongst the most talented and daring mountaineers in the world. The video above celebrates the life of David Lama and was created to honor his memory. It spotlights some of his epic adventures in the mountain and is a fitting tribute to him. All three climbers will be missed. There simply is no way to replace them.
