Video: The Line Episode 3 - Preparing for Everest One Day at a Time

This season climbers Cory Richards and Topo Mena are hoping to open a completely new line on the North Side of Everest in Tibet. If successful, it will be the first new route on the world’s highest peak in more than a decade. Of course, it won’t be easy and we’ll be keeping a close eye on their progress over the next few weeks. “The Line” is a video series that has been produced by Roam TV that follows Cory’s preparation and planning for the expedition, and will eventually show us what life is like on the mountain as he and Topo make their attempt. In this, the third episode, we catch up with Richards as he prepares to leave for the Himalaya, struggling with the weight of everything that needs to be done before he goes. This is a side of expeditions that we don’t always get a chance to witness, but it is an important one nonetheless.
