Here at The Adventure Blog we often share videos of impressive athletes, climbers, and runners doing amazing and inspiring things. It isn’t all that often that we also get an honest, eye-opening, yet still inspiring, video of what it is truly like to head out on an adventure while being completely unprepared. That’s what you’ll find in this clip, which features a first-time bikepacker named Ben who decides to take on the Andes Mountain in South America. Ben thought his experience with riding bikes and theoretical knowledge of bikepacking would be enough to see him through. As it turns out, he had a lot to learn along the way and he shares that experience with us here.
