In 2018, mountain runner Emelie Forsberg returned to her home country of Sweden to take on one of the more challenging trails in the world. She hoped to set a new fastest known time on the Kungsleden Trail, a 450 km (280 mile) hiking route that typically takes backpackers about 15 days to complete. Emelie managed to do it in just 4 days, 21 hours, setting a new speed record in the process. In this video, we get to tag along for the ride watching not only a finely tuned athlete at the top of her game, but some stunning scenery as well. If youβve ever wondered what one of these long-distance challenges is like, this video will definitely provide some insights.
