A solo backpacking excursion can be an isolating experience and spending days alone on the trail by yourself isnβt for everyone. But, it can also be a liberating adventure, allowing you to explore a place completely on your own. Those very different emotions can be seen and felt in this beautiful video, which takes us to Hornstrandir in Iceland to join a lone trekker as he spends four days hiking 60 miles in this remote and gorgeous place. There is no dialogue throughout the clip, just some lovely music to accompany the images. That helps to convey the sense of solitude and isolation, which is sometimes exactly what weβre looking for when we set out on a journey such as this one.
