A few weeks back, we shared the news that climber Karl Egloff set a new speed record on Denali, breaking the previous mark held by Kilian Jornet. As it turns out, he wasn’t the only person on the mountain this spring hoping to take down that record. As you’ll see in this video, mountaineer Mike Chambers was also eying a new FKT on Denali, and while things didn’t go exactly as he had planned, there is still a lot we can learn from and take inspiration as well. In this video, we’ll follow Mike as he builds up to the climb, training hard and preparing diligently. Then we’ll join him on the mountain to watch his attempt unfold.
