One of the more high-profile expeditions to Everest this past spring involved Cory Richards and Esteban “Topo” Mena, who were attempting a new route along the North Side of the mountain. Ultimately they were unable to complete that route due to poor weather conditions, but the story of their journey remains an intriguing one.
In this video –– the sixth in a series –– we join the two men on the world’s highest peak as they head up to Advanced Base Camp, continue to acclimatize to the altitude, and scout the new route they hope to ascend. It is a fascinating look at expedition life that you don’t get all that often. To get completely caught up on the entire series, had over to RoamTV.com.
