There is no question that ancient man had a far better understanding of the movements of the night sky than we once gave them credit for. No where is this more evident than in the structures they built to help track the shifting heavens that they saw overhead. In this video, we trail across the Southwest U.S. and to Hawaii, where we see some of the best archaeological sites where petroglyphs and archaeoastronomy structures provide a glimpse into the minds of ancient stargazers. This is a beautiful and moving clip that will leave you in awe of what humans accomplished, even thousands of years ago.
