Video: Into the Khumbu Icefall in Autumn

The Khumbu Icefall is a prominent landmark on the South Side of Everest. It is the section of the climb that alpinists fear the most, despite the fact that it is located just above Base Camp. Most of the time when we see reports from the mountain, they come from the summit or higher up the slopes. But this video gives us an amazing look at the icefall itself, which is the first hurdle that needs to be overcome by anyone looking to reach the highest point on Earth. The stunning clip was shot by Grzegorz Pajak, Kuba Gzela, and Bartek Bargiel who are on Everest now with Andrzej Bargiel, who is hoping to climb and ski down the mountain. Of course, they used a drone to collect these images, but it is safe to say that their drone work is better than most. Stunning stuff packed into just 40 seconds.
