Go inside the mind of an ultrarunner in this video courtesy of Salomon TV. In the clip, we join endurance athlete Courtney Dauwalter as she competes in the 2018 Tahoe 200 Endurance Run, a 200+ mile (321 km) sufferfest that pushes runners to their absolute limits. Out on the trail, Courtney learns a lot about herself as she struggles with the challenges of the race, not to mention a dogged competitor who is on her tail most of the way. What drives these runners to go to such extremes? If you have to ask, you probably won’t understand. But this great video does try to make it clearer for those who don’t quite get it.
