Going on an adventure in the outdoors can be a powerful thing. No where is that more evident than in this video, which takes us to Afghanistan with Ascend Athletics and ultrarunner Megan Kimmel. The goal of the nonprofit organization is to empower young women in that country by helping them find the confidence and strength within themselves. In this case, that means taking them out into the wilderness to climb the highest peak in Afghanistan, an opportunity that they probably wouldn’t have had even a few short years ago. This inspiring short-film is well done from start to finish.
