It’s no secret that I’m a proponent for space travel and exploration. I’m of the mind that we can learn a lot about ourselves by studying the universe around us and that investments in the space program can reap all kinds of benefits back here on Earth too. This video asks the question “what could NASA accomplish if it had the same budget as the U.S. military?” That is indeed an intriguing one, as currently the American space agency gets about $20 billion annually, while the military is in the $600 billion range. Here, we get some examples of how that money could be spent to push the boundaries of exploration in our own solar system and beyond.
