It’s been about a year since the Rivian R1T electric pick-up truck was first unveiled to the world, giving drivers and outdoor enthusiasts a look at the future of adventure vehicles. Right now, the truck, along with its SUV counterpart the R1S, are still on track to go on sale in late 2020 and early 2021 respectively. A lot of that is due to the really smart, dedicated, and focused people who are working on putting not just getting these vehicles into the hands of customers, but are working on building a strong, viable company to support their work moving forward. In this video, we get to meet some of those people while getting an update on their progress, as well as plenty of new looks at the truck itself. If you’ve been following the Rivian story for the past year like I have, you’re going to like what you see here. Of course, next week we’ll get a chance to see Tesla’s take on the electric pick-up truck as well, which is likely to be very different.
